You deserve to live the life that is most meaningful to you.

Sometimes in life, you may feel lost and that your problems are uncontrollable. It’s hard to ask for help, but living with daily stress and confusion is also hard.

You may be experiencing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or physical health concerns that have left emotional scars. If you have an anxious and fearful child, you may not be sure how to help. They may resist going to school, sleeping alone, or face other challenges.

Therapy can help you confront challenges as your best self. You deserve a fulfilling and meaningful life, finding peace in yourself, your work, your home, and your parenting.

Meet Dr. Regina Musicaro, Ph.D,
Clinical Psychologist

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with people of all ages in New York city and throughout New York state and Connecticut. I specialize in working with individuals, parents, and children who experience anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and difficulty coping after stressful or traumatic events.

I have experience supporting individuals with various health and medical concerns, including diabetes, fertility and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), chronic pain, and autoimmune illnesses. Additionally, I specialize in working with individuals on behavior change including quitting smoking, and developing other healthy habits.

My therapeutic style incorporates evidence-based approaches including Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Exposure and Response prevention, mindfulness-based therapies and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

My goal is to help you identify the changes you’d like to make and remove barriers to your happiness. With the right trust and support, it becomes easier when someone is fully invested in your journey. Through our work together, you’ll be able to:

  • Improve coping strategies and the ability to manage anxiety, OCD, and post-traumatic stress in you or your child
  • Discover and implement strategies for managing challenging health concerns
  • Experience positive behavioral change related to quitting smoking and adopting healthy habits
  • Resolve sleep issues with your infants or toddlers, leading to more restful nights for the entire family

My style is caring and supportive with moments of humor. The therapeutic space should feel safe and non-judgmental. Clients often describe me as warm, sincere, and curious.

Though some problems feel impossible to fix, I promise that there is hope in even the most difficult situations. Please don’t hesitate to schedule a complimentary phone consultation with me today.

Are you ready to grow and expand into the life you want?

MY THERAPY STYLE

The best part of the work is inspiring hope and seeing change. It is an honor to join with someone and work together to bring positive life changes.

Empathy comes from understanding our common humanity. I believe that empathy is cultivated when we see through the noise of life. This means seeing through our incessant thoughts, actions, and preoccupations to realize that there is a person underneath who is fundamentally good.

My superpower would be to fly because New York has too much traffic!
